Jim Lee bought up high standards for comic book art in the 90s but I still find the New X-Men & Astonishing X-Men designs superior to his X-Men designs.

I have to admit that I liked his design for Dazzler. She basically made Jubilee redundant with how cool she looked - Jubes' look and lack of power development just can't compete with Ali's design and powerset to me.

Some did it for me and some didn't.

His Magneto and Bishop are my fav of all time though.

His designs did make them look more like a team than they usually do. I suspect that was also the reaon for giving Wolverine his yellow costume back.

That being said, it was such a shame that Jean lost that fantastic Phoenix costume due to the retcon.

And my favorite Jim Lee costume? The X-men Strike Force training uniform! I would totally cosplay that with the right materials if I could!

The training uniform is by far my favorite costume he designed. I liked the first few issues when these were worn instead of individual costumes.

Even if Storm's outfit was silver, though...it was still pretty ugly to me. I actually had that same thought, but when you see most of the way she was colored, it was a flat white.

Those were done by Mark Silvestri and Dan Green. They premiered two issues before Jim Lee took over.

@immolation: Well, than that only leaves Dazzler's new costume as one I think Jim Lee did well on. The rest are pretty much misses for me, but the '90s were a bad time.

During that period, definitely.

Some of his designs were pretty good, but the yellow Wolverine uniform and single shoulder chest strap for Cyclops were pretty aweful.
