Anyone else think we may see Rogue cross over into the Marvel Cinematic Universe sooner or later? She did make her first appearance in the Avengers comic and she has ties to Carol Danvers/ Captain Marvel. She has been reduced to minimal or no screen time in recent & upcoming X-men films and in the comics, she did not leave with the other mutants, instead she has been taking a central role in an Avengers title for quite some time... it does seem like a possibility.

A lot of bad stuff in comics would have to transpire for that to happen. Stuff that might cause a bit of uproar and turn some x-fans off

No she belongs in the X-MEN. And theres no way for her to legally be used in the MCU as her Avenger membership occurred years after Fox bought the film rights. Her long history with Ms. Marvel doesn't make it possible for her to be in the MCU either, it was revealed that Wolverine partnered with Captain America during WWII multiple times but he still can't be used in the MCU.

Hasn't there been talks in the past about characters such as Wolverine or Rogue, who first appeared outside of the X-Titles possibly being able to appear in the MCU. We did get Quicksilver in both the MCU & X-Flims. It is a slippery slop as to who wholly owns the movie rights to some of these characters. After all, the Inhumans are somewhat tied to the Fantastic Four & we see where their cinematic home is. And Lady Deathstrike & Silver Samurai both appeared in DD comics before battleing Wolverine but they have appeared in X-Films & not MCU films.

@4_color_image: I haven't heard any talk of any of the X-MEN becoming film right neutral. The contracts are binding, they can't suddenly be changed just because Marvel starts putting them in different teams because the contracts predate them joining those team. Also what book a character appears in first doesn't actually have any effect on who owns the film rights, it all matters on which team/books those character are most associated with, Wolverine first appeared in Incredible Hulk but he became known as a X-MEN member. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch can be owned by both studios because they are famous for two things, being Magnetos children, and for being Avengers. Now Wolverine and Rogue both eventually joined Avenger groups but it was long after the legally binding contracts in which Fox bought them were drawn out. Sorry, but it's illegal for Marvel to use Wolverine or Rogue in the MCU their fully owned by Fox.

@4_color_image: She might be in the avenger comic, but she in it representing mutants. So i really doubt it, the comics don't give us insight to the MCU. If that was true like everyone thought secret wars was gonna be a restart of the marvel comics to look like the movies. Instead if someone went from the movies to the comics, they would be very very confused on whats going on. Iron man is the only hero who basically still himself.
