Same could be said about Magneto from Issue 4 ;)

    And I love Apocalypse.

Didn´t mean that as a diss, lol

I enjoy issues like that too, even tho there are some things I find weird. But to not derail this even more, I will tag you in the X-Men discussion post later.

@payneintheass: I made a list of more or less 48 runs , including solos and events/crossovers from the 2010s.

Ok, but where and what is that list ? And what do you consider a "run", and what do you consider bein an X-run ?

Before starting a contest, you should announce the contestants !

@jb681131: Pretty much everything , main series, solos, some limited series, other teams like X-Force, New Mutants, X-Factor etc

Only thing I´m sure I left out was Deadpool centric series.

Anyways ,are you in? We are low on voters, I dunno if I will continue this.

I have to disagree, the only inconsistency were issues #2 & 3 from the main flagship title (X-Men) which in all honesty were awful, other than that, every single issue by Hickman, starting with the amazing House of X/Powers of X to the main title has been top notch.

Honestly, skipping HocusPocus (and to cover it all I will have to sink into a very, VERY long rant even more so than I did in my "brainstorm" threads dedicated to individual issues back then) and talking strictly Xmen, if it wasn't Hickman, I wouldn't have continued past issue 1. And with 2 and 3 being either extreme meh and Aaron/Bendis level abomination respectively, I can't even imagine how this run and consistency can even be put into the same sentence.

You may not like it my friend, but it's praised left and right everywhere and consistent quality (aside from those two issues) is the best way to describe it. Though I can see why some wouldn't like it, it's a very different take on the mutants.

Ironically I mean with respect to others(at least for me lol). Honestly, I can't respond to a complex discussion extemporarily. It's just that English is not an intermediate language for me if I am having a discussion with someone.

I agree with this. The first three were average and meh issues for me. Issue 7 was a masterpiece.

I'm used to it now lol English isn't even my second language but sometimes I do find myself using lots of idioms and phrases, funnily enough. There are two additional languages I want to learn tho so good luck to me.

The last two, while did have some good moments, were also pretty mediocre. The ritual issue had a lot of thought food, but the fight with Apoc was idiotic. The fight with a guy that restrained Hulk and smacked Thor isn't even a fight on no level. Stuff like this I don't like.

That's my biggest criticism of Hick's run, the ideas are decent (even excessive at times, but with that I can live) but his comicy stuff here is laughable. From the attack on Orchis, to whorethculture circus, to this. It just doesn't work.

Yeah, English isn't my second language either. I get annoyed at times when I am ranting on someone but sometimes it felt like it's something I need. I wish you good luck with learning two different languages lol. I guess @payneintheass is getting a little annoyed by seeing us derailing this thread, therefore, I guess we will talk about his later.

Soule's Astonishing was solid, nothing out of this world but it was solid, however, I haven't read Gillen's X-Men yet (I know, kill me), so I can't vote.

Speaking of Soule's X-Men: Why haven't they brought back Fantomex on Krakoa ? After all, he gave his body so Xavier could live, and that body was killed in Percy's X-Force #1, so they can now bring Fantomex back.

See, as much as I love Dawn of X, this is one of the many things that were glossed over in favor of the new status quo, Xavier was dead and we never got to see how he came back into the lives of the mutants and what was their reaction, not to mention the fact that the Xavier that got resurrected was actually an evil one.

Everything around Soule's X-Men was thrash and even if Astonishing X-Men was highest of highs for Soule, Gillen's UXM takes it rather more comfortably.

I found Soule's run to be atrocious, with the terrible writing and OoC moments concealed by beautiful art.

Gillen's run was sheer brilliance, but he kept having to deal with crossovers, especially AvX - to his credit, he handled it deftly and with respect. His take on Sinister is so good that Hickman basically copy-pasted it going forward.

That X-Force series started out good but quickly turned into standard X-Men shenanigans.

It had Spiral, Puck, some weird monster Bishop running around. It was interesting
