X-Men: Days of Future Past is turning out to be one big reunion movie for the original X-Men crew. Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) has hinted about returning and both Ian McKellen (Magneto) and Patrick Stewart (Charles Xavier) are confirmed. Now we can add 3 more names to the list thanks to director Bryan Singer: Anna Paquin (Rogue), Shawn Ashmore (Iceman), and Ellen Page (Kitty Pryde).

Are you happy to see these characters from the original trilogy return and is there anyone else you'd want to see come back? I'm rooting for Colossus. It's fitting since he was in the source material and barely had any screen time in the original trilogy. Also, what new characters would you want to see in this one?

Very interesting stuff, this is going to be a crazy movie one way or the other.

This is great! It'll probably be a small role, but still having some continuity with the other movies is a great thing.

Please please please Bryan Singer use time travel to retcon the last stand and lead into a new present day X-Men movie!

It' d be nice if they stick to source material, seriously! Especially since it hasn't happened in the previous X movies, characters and all. I 'll wait for them to show this one on cable too, I already dislike the characters involved, well not all of them but a few. I f Colossus doesn't make the cut I will not watch the movie!

I'm now less excited about seeing this movie... but it would be nice to see Ellen Page back as Kitty Pride.

and another thing I noticed is that besides James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique) & Nicholas Hoult (Beast), no one else has been announced as returning from First Class... all announcements have been mostly cast members from the original trilogy returning so it's starting to feel more like X-Men 4 (with the First Class sequel serving more as a flashback)

I like the characters but I wasn't a fan of their portrayals in the films.

@evilvegeta74: pfff.. Whats the big fuss for Colossus for? He didn't have a big part in the trio, and what I can remember is that he was only in the 3rd one. Sure he looked cool as Colossus, and the graphics for him would probably look way better in 2014 than it did in the 3rd movie. I guess it would be cool :P

Says who? It's a time travel story, remember? it's more than likely that the First Class crew simply encounters Charles at a point in time before he dies.

Im excited to see them back particularly Kitty. Hopefully, they will give Rogue and Iceman's personalities more of the "spunk" they have in the comic. They were still far to wimpy in the films. I would love to see a lot more of Jubilee in the films as well. She is at least a fun character. Whatever the case, im at least confident Bryan Singer will bring good things to the film.

PS: Im still silently weeping for Jean and wishing for her return...

Did nobody here read "Days of Future Past"? Granted, I don't imagine the movie will even remotely resemble the comic story (but one can hope, can't one?), but most of these characters: Jubilee, Rogue, Iceman, Cyclops, Jean Grey . . . None of them were in the story. If you've never read this classic story - - find it, read it . . . then come back and list your dream team wish list!

Awesome, Iceman is one of my favorites, and I just saw Shawn Ashmore in The Following this week and thought about how I'd like to see him in more things. Ellen Page is a HUGE get, considering how Kitty Pryde is basically the star of DOFP. I wasn't sure if they would be able to get her, since her career has taken off quite a bit since The Last Stand came out. And it would have sucked to have a replacement actress. With these additions to the cast it is clear that Fox is really putting their all into making this film great. I just hope there is enough time in the film to give to the extended cast members of First Class as well though.

Every piece of news I hear about this movie makes me more excited. Haters gonna hate.

I am glad Kitty Pryde is still Ellen Page. They've changed her actress so many times I was worried.
