go bury your head in the snow
slightly suggestive cover, that doesnt really convey enough. buts its well done. both installments are Wolverine stories. the first is completely solo, as he has an existential trip through a healing factored binge..somewhere out in the snow. its really beautifully captured. and it resonates past all the super heroics to concentrate on how human it feels to be a mutant. it helps that he seems kinda stranded, and that all we have to tether us to the story is Wolverines inner monologue. second story is touching and gives the canadian origin a little more bite. but its not so perfect. that might be its strength, given the subject matter. it has a tone similar to the New Mutants backup in the previous issue - but delivers it like the upfront piece about Rachel (dreary). anyway, at least its An All Wolverine Spectacular! where else does he even pop up these days?
