    On the fabled living island of Krakoa, a party is underway: the Hellfire Gala. The titans of the world are attending: politicians, artists, kings and queens, super heroes and super villains.

    They have come because they know mutantkind can no longer be ignored. The X-Men, long dismissed by so many as sub-human terrorists, are now wealthy and influential players on the world stage.

    But this party is far more than a chance to show humanity’s leaders the X-Men’s generosity – it is intended as a display of unprecedented power. And when it is over, Earth will never be the same again…
