After reading New Mutants 38 which seems to set up some possible love interest amongst the team, I have myself wondering what do people think of the possible pairing of :

Nate and Dani which Doug basically spells out.

I ask cause looking back the signs of this were clearly there from the constant bashing of Nate's abilities to the meeting the new neighbor. But while I have a few ideas on why they are looking to put these two together, I am more curious to how others reacted to this.

My guess is that DnA more or less thought "Hey, he's a shaman, she's native american, this will totally work." lol

Just have to see how DnA will do with this relationship.

@Purgy: Never said I wasn't intrigued. But she kinda got rushed out of one relationship then Bam! they try to get the dating ball rolling with Nate.

Isn't that what all comic relationship is doing now a days, the same with Gambit and Rouge. They just rush her to Mags just like that.

@Purgy: Yea, pretty much. No actual romantic build up. Now just oh, you must have a boyfriend/girlfriend or fawn over someone. It's why these concepts on relationships annoy readers and end badly for characters.

I will let you guys be the judge. Tell me what you think of the possible relationships they more or less hinted at.

And the moment finally happened in New Mutants 41.

The two finally kiss. So the seeds of this relationship are now out there. And Blink and Amara both know Dani likes Nate.

New Mutants is probably going to get cancelled pretty soon, and we most likely won't see this relationship developed any further.
