Have to disagree with G-Man on the issue of Storm having her say... sure she may have left and gotten married and lives in Wakanda. However, Second Coming deals with the remaining mutant population in the world and Storm is a mutant...
I just find it unusual that few have questioned Cyclops decisions and his approach to the whole situation... and everyone that has questioned him is either no longer around or seems to get shot down...
I blame that piece of the Void thats trapped in Cyclops!
Another great review, but I couldn't but help laugh at the Chimichanga comic on the wall behind you two :P
This creative team owns. Completely. The art made this issue for me, and made me forget some of my recent issues with "Second Coming." Good review, guys.
There was a chapter done in the Negima! manga where there was no dialog. It was pretty funny and well done.
I respect that Storm expresses her opinion of X-Force, but really. The X-Men don't have the luxury of the protections that Wakanada has. She should be heard out.
Oh, my word! Hope looks like a teenager there.
While Babs looks extremely adorable. The whole review I kept expecting woodland critters to walk around.
All these great reviews of the X-Force series are really pushing me to add it to my pull list...d@mn peer pressure... :-P
Storm was there for Nightcrawler's funeral, remember? Apparently her ride back to Wakanda didn't show up in time.
BTW, Babs looks like Swiss Miss.
I thought Storm's dialogue with Scott was the best part of this issue aside from the first few pages. This is a long time coming.
For whatever reason, writers have gotten into the habit of proclaiming Scott the be-all, end-all X-man but he's left plenty of times. First to mourn Jean and chop wood in Alaska then again to form X-Factor and the period- both times turning his back on the X-men. Storm, on the other hand, led the X-men when they were possibly their most successful and iconic, that she's been so hush hush is crime on the part of the editors.
The same woman who kicked Scott's arse powerless and with a belt as her only weapon has been sitting pretty for far too long. She can say whatever she wants at this point and if that means she has to pummel Scott once again to attain leadership-COOL.

Respect to G-Man for referencing GI Joe #21, the classic "silent issue".
That's still a great read (if you can call it that...) today.

Did you guys not read the issue where Nightcrawler had his funeral?
Storm and Beast came to honor his death. Then they were attacked and beast/storm stayed to help.
Shows how much you care about Second Coming.
PS i wasnt trying to give you attitude. My writing just comes off like that sometimes.
I was wondering about the whole killing issue, I guess its building to that though. Because in the beginning didn't the X-men even take an oath never to kill anyone? And now they kill people right and left. So I guess its coming to that, where they have to address this.
And then Cyclops will be out and Emma will lead the X-men until she tries to attack Asguard and is replaced by Storm or something. Kidding.
Silent issues are fantastic. The artists have to stretch to fill more space, the writers have to be far more descriptive for the artists, and they are more of a joy to read!
Suppose ill go pick this up tomorrow. It will be the first "xmen" title i've bought in many a years.
I'm in love with second coming. I can't get enough of this. And I'm a huge Nightcrawler fan, so this has been a gripping read. Also, I was never a huge Namor fan before he became an X-man, but he is such an awesome character.
I can't wait to see what happens with X-force and the rest of the mutants, but I'm starting to get a little bummed that all of my favorites are out of commission (Iceman, Nightcrawler, etc.)
"Oh, my word! Hope looks like a teenager there."
Iceman getting burns... ironic
Namor bleeding... rare
Armor bleeding... Nimrods don't have psychic attacks do they?
Hellion... even a powerless human can kick his a$$
... sometimes i wish Cyclops would just let the Void out so that Storm would have a good reason to fry him ^_^
I am really wishing on an all out, kick ass, both full powered fight between scott and storm. :) rematch rematch rematch! hehe
I'll be picking this up for sure after work! :)
