X-Force
Team » X-Force appears in 2000 issues.
When Cable reformed the New Mutants, he made them his soldiers. They became a mutant "black ops" team, assigned to kill not just the enemies of the X-Men, but of all mutantkind. Although this team eventually disbanded, the X-Force moniker has persisted in successive iterations of more and more aggressive X-teams.

STRYFE STRIKES! Cable and X-Force’s greatest nemisis returns! The X-event of the decade continues in MESSIAH WAR, and things go from “bad” to “worst case scenario” as X-Force and Cable struggle to keep Hope alive. While Cyclops fights to keep X-Force's involvement a secret in the present, Cable and Wolverine butt heads in the future over control of the child. Making matters worse, a member of X-Force abandons the team as an army of darkness descends upon them, leaving the team a man down with their backs to the wall. Past, present and future collide as the war for Mutantkind's survival continues.
some info I picked up for issue 20
@bioghost: Welcome to the world of solicitations :)
It seems that although Necrosha starts in issue #20, Wolfsbane is STILL not reunited with the rest of the team. I know they have things in store for her, but they should either bring her back in to the main roster of the team again or just cut her and leave her with the other New Mutants. It's not as if the team needs a feral type and they've coped without her for the best part of two years :p

Yeah, they were a couple when they died. I'm not surprised Chris Kyle is bringing Berzerker back, since he's now written him into two X-Men cartoons... but this time Berzerker comes back with his girlfriend to keep him company :)
X-Force had very little Necrosha build up except for that one scene. I think it was Pixelized guessed that Destiny would be Rogue's special dead-guest star :)
I really enjoyed this issue, but surprisingly not as much as I thought I would:
- The stuff with Morales & X is fun, almost like a buddy movie/Die Hard film gone wrong.
- It's cute to see Loa & co, but Choi & Oback make Loa look too cute. Like she's just got giant freckles.
- Domino & Wolverine with the Cuckoos was entertaining. Especially Domino. But seriously, they've found Wolfsbane? So what... SHE'S EXACTLY WHERE THEY LEFT HER! Where she's been bonking Hrimhari on the floor of Angel's Aerie! Oooh, that was a needle in a haystack... not :p
- Another issue without Warpath. Kyle & Yost, that's two strikes... one more within the next few months and I'll fire you Trump/Sugar style myself! Seriously, I shouldn't have to rely on issues of Hulk for y Warpath fix!!
As for X-Force in Hulk. It was entertaining, and carried various fight scenes a little better than Exodus. Otherwise, I'm left a bit cold. Maybe because no-one else other than K&Y should write X-Force... even after I fire them :)
hey at least we now know that loa and exlir is still a couple and with the cuckoos sister (phew what a relief)
oh and xerox-kitty there nothing wrong with Loa being too cute. just pray to god that you won't see Choi and Oback atempt to make a pixie even cuter than she is.
I could of sworn they say a couple issue agos that they can't find wolfbanes and now I guessing this that the cukoos sisters put her to sleep.
you think an another without warpath is bad at least you got a substiue for him but I can't find anything for the vanisher (l like the guy)
where would i find a guy that they tourture in almost all the issue.
the way they wrote x-force for me in the hulk comic seem a bit off to me. I think they word a little perky would fit in mood they having right now.
I don't like seeing Loa drawn with as if she has gigantic freckles. Almost like a Raggedy Ann doll. And I'd rather see Choi & Oback draw Pixie than have Greg Land & Terry Dodson portray her as a porn star.
They didn't really look very hard for Wolfsbane. She ran away at first, but when the giants attacked she was naked on the floor of Angel's Aerie. In other words, she'd gone home. In fact, I doubt any insurance company would cover the costs to repair Angel's Aerie after it was attacked by Asgardian giants ;)
M'eh. Vanisher finally has a decent creative team, but I can't say I'm that bothered he's gone. He's a coward, he's meant to split as soon as he can. He barely had a dozen appearances over the last 40 years... Besides, he's on the cover in 2 months time, so you know he will be back. I just find it odd that in a 3-part story line, one of the main characters was only around for one issue. That, and I just want to see him drawn more by Choi & Oback!!
I know what you mean about it seeming 'a bit off' in Hulk. I felt that way at first until I saw what inferiorego wrote about Hulk. Yuo just have to read it as if it's a big summer blockbuster action movie. Then it kind of makes sense.
@pixelized: True!!
I just read the last issue. Who is the chick who cut X-23's arm off? She seems to be too familiar with X.
They look great! Too damned tantalising... and a wee bit bloody too. The women all look far too similar, but we can still see clearly enough to know what's happening. I love how Laura is using her greatest weakness to her adventage.
And yeah, I love Choi/Oback but a lot of their female characters look the same...but their art is so beautiful I can overlook it lol. And I guess those pictures from the Necrosha previews with Laura's claws out make more sense :/ I love the scene with Logan, it's nice to see that he actually cares about Laura and her well-being.
@pixelized: Yeah, me too... but my disappointment was short-lived because Illyana's a great edition to the team (although only temporary) and she's got more personality in that one panel than in her Mat Fraction penned appearances ;)
