Following the events of Messiah Complex, X-Force is re-established! There are some lines that the X-Men have sworn never to cross, but after the events of the Messiah Complex, Cyclops realized that some enemies need to be dealt with permanently, and the X-Men can never know about it. The series lasted until issue #28, after which it was retooled and rebranded as Uncanny X-Force.

    Mission Objectives and Results

    • Kill Matthew Risman: tactical success, but strategic failure because of the resurrected enemies of the X-Men.
    • Destroy the Legacy Virus: tactical success, but strategic failure because the villains managed to get their hands on another strain.
    • Kill the Leper Queen: mission aborted for the protection of the mutant messiah in the future, but was completed by X-23.
    • Protect and bring Hope Summers back to the present: tactical success, but was unable to retrieve Hope as she remained with Cable.
    • Kill Selene: tactical and strategic success, but at the cost of half of the members being cut from the team.
    • Disable the Master Mold from the Days of Future Past timeline: tactical and strategic success at the cost of Cable's life.
