Warpath learns the Hellfire Club was not responsible for the butchering of his people. He also has a candid talk with Emma Frost about his motives for staying with X-Force. Meanwhile, Siryn talks about her feelings for Warpath with her father, Banshee.

    Synopsis

X-Force travels to Massachusetts to visit Generation X. Warpath and Emma Frost have a very lengthy discussion that boils down to: The Hellions did not kill Warpath's people so Warpath should direct his anger elsewhere. Also: Since revenge is no longer his reason to say with X-Force, his only reason for doing so is because he wants to.

During all this talking, Siryn and Banshee also do some talking as they catch up with each other. Banshee is mostly interested in Siryn's feelings for Warpath, as Warpath clearly has feelings for her. She acknowledges the help he has been, but that he is just a friend. She then ribs her father for teaming up with Emma Frost, noting that Moira MacTaggart must be peeved.

Elsewhere, Cannonball is doing all the talking as he lectures his sister Husk about being a responsible mutant. The two butt heads and realize that the reason they are doing so is because they are family and that they love each other.

Once Warpath is done talking with Emma, he meets up with Siryn and Banshee, who then meet up with Cannonball and Husk. They all decide to join their teammates at the mall for some fun, as Jubilee and Boomer are having a shop-off.

This, my friends, was a chore. Whereas the last two issues were pure-gold Fabian character development, this schlock is pure filler. Three scenes play out before us: 1) Emma Frost reinforces the idea that Warpath's people were not killed by the Hellfire Club and that Warpath is a confused man. 2) Cannonball is concerned for his sister's safety. 3) Siryn doesn't love Warpath "in that way." Take these very simple ideas and spread them over 22 pages and you've got a very, very unmotivating read. As...
