So i just picked up X-Factor the first Volume and I REALLY like it... I'm a big fan of Sy not that big of an M fan... I hope her character gets a bit more... not a know it all because she's really annoying in these first issues. really like Layla... she's a confusing character so i'm hoping to learn more about her!
BUT is it just me or does X-Factor not remind you guys of Angel Investigations (from the show Angel) and the Singularity Investigations totally reminds me of Wolfram and Heart...
But yeah, I'm really liking this series I'm surprised I didn't pick up a copy any time sooner! haha got about 10 paperbacks to pick up now ;P wish me luck!
what do you guys think about X-Factor?
X-Factor
Team » X-Factor appears in 1694 issues.
Originally a team comprising the original five X-Men, X-Factor was eventually turned a government task force. Jamie Madrox later took the name to found X-Factor Investigations and ultimately sold it to Serval Industries. Now, X-Factor Investigations was reformed on Krakoa.
X-Factor
Awh good for you, you have lots, and lots of fun, and excitement and drama ahead. I think a lot of people feel the same about that once they pick up X-Factor. Did you red the Madrox mini as well? It sets up X-Factor. I like M, but fail to think of why right now... Layla is fun to learn, and actually still kinda confusing now.
Plus yea, it does sorta remind me of Angel. Good luck with the rest of the stories too, I am jealous I can't read them for the first time. I think my favorite story might be in your next TPB.
Oh, and I think its Marvels, most consistently good book, that can be a little Madrox heavy at times, but is one of the better balanced team books around. Its fun, witty and full of great character work and touches on some old school, social and political subjects too, sort of like older X-Books use to.
X-Factor is amazing. It's a very high quality of story-telling with that little noir feeling to it. It's great characterization and usually great art as well.
@IllyanaRasputin: Singularity Investigations totally reminded me of Wolfram & Hart. Keep us updated on your reading progress. ^__^

@SC: haha yeah, I hope I warm up to M i liked her in Generation X :P haha
" @IllyanaRasputin: There's a trade that contains an issue of them all having a therapy session with Doc Samson. It's that issue that really sold me on M, it shows her human side and you get to see what she's really like. It's the Many Lives of Madrox trade, issue 13 to be exact. "
Heh, see, knew my favorite (well equal favorite) issue was in the next trade!! Oh wow, I just realized or the shocks your gonna be in store for too IllyanaRasputin 0_o
Personally, X-Factor is the only series that I make sure to buy everything! (I rent a lot of comics from the library)
I love it!
Jamie has some of the best lines and I love his sense of humor. It does some weird things at times but...what X-series doesn't?
