X-Factor #26; Messiah Complex Chapter 7
The issue starts off with Xavier undermining Cyclops' judgment about sending X-Force after Cable, in front of the New X-men nonetheless. Cyclops tells the kids to give him and Xavier a minute. Cyclops lays down the law and tells Xavier that he was trained to lead and Xavier needs to back off and let him do his job.
In Messiah Complex Chapter 6, all the psychics were taken out by some unseen force. There is no mention of that at all. Xavier is conscious in this issue, but none of the other psychics are seen or mentioned in this issue. They may have forgotten about that, who knows? Moving on..
X-Force breaks into the hospital that the first new mutant was born in. Most of the team sneaks in quietly, but Warpath decides to knock out one of the guards watching the back door. Wolverine reprimands Warpath for insubordination, but Warpath tells Logan that they're best chance of not having to fight any one else is if they use the radio he got from the guard to find out if they're going to have any trouble. Wolverine doesn't have an argument and just gives the radio to Hepzibah. Apparently the team is successful in getting a scent in the hospital, but they still have to leave in haste because Caliban and Hepzibah beat up about 10 guards. They hear the call on the radio for all units to converge on the hospital, so the team heads out through some sewers Warpath spotted on the hospital schematics.
In a possible future....
Layla and Multiple Man ambush a couple of humans that apparently work for the mutant internment camp. Multiple Man and some of his dupes beat up the two guys and demand that they tell them about how the camp was installed. One of the guys doesn't believe MM doesn't know what's going on. Jamie tells him that he's from out of town. Their captive tells them that the camp is there because the mutants brought it on themselves. He tells them something else which is not shown, Jamie doesn't believe it, then a bunch of other government types show up, use a power dampener on Multiple Man and arrest him. Layla isn't scanning as a mutant but she tells them that she is and gets locked up with MM.
Somewhere in Canada...
Cable is on the run with the baby, apparently getting shot at by lasers and such. Cable is shown aiming his gun at someone, who turns out to be Lady Deathstrike and the Reavers. Deathstrike tells him, "No more running. No more guns. You both die now." They fight, Cable getting some good licks in on them. Apparently, protecting the baby didn't help him much in the battle. While he didn't fall, he appears to be beaten and on his last leg.
