Laura Kinney should x -23 to change his code name ?

to leave behind his past as an assassin , and start a new life . laura should change its name as it did weapon - x 
to wolverine

if so, what should be his new code name ?

She's come to be known as X-23.  There was an obvious hint that they were going to change her name to Talon, but it wasn't followed up.  So it looks like she'll stick with X-23, which is a shame as that's the name the Facility gave her...  but she doesn't seem able to shed her past.

Since a Wolverine is a weasel she could change her codename to... Mink?

I think it's maybe too late too change her name, even if her code-name was awesome, people would still hate! But I'm all for it! Naming her X-23 kinda still makes her feel she's still just  a clone, when I thought Wolverine, the X-Students and the X-Men were trying to make her feel more human, surely it be more reasonable to give her a code name and no longer make her feel like she's not human? I think what I said just made sense lol!

no she should just stay X-23
Wolverine was able to go with Wolverine because thats what he was called before we learned his origin 
after we learned about him being weapon X no one was going to start calling him that since thats a past he didn't want to remember and everyone was used to calling him Wolverine anyway
it's a good idea to have her go by something else but it's kinda too late she's developed too much in the X-area to go by anything else
maybe if they had thought of this when she first started working with the X-men but now it's too late that door has slammed shut

I'm much to fond of the name now, it just seems right despite it's dark past 
 
it fits her, I wouldn't want to have to get use to a new name

Marvel already has a couple of characters named Talon. Not that it makes any difference, but she should at least get an unique code name.

Personally I think she may as well stick with X-23.

Her code name should be Green Eyes, and then hopefully artists will remember to draw her with Green eyes, and then they can change it back to X-23 at a later date.  
 
I think the fun with code names, is the nicknames that eventually arise. Think Wolvie, Stormy, Gumbo, Cannonballz, etc X-23's would be just X, as in hey 'X', which I think is nice, since its kinda implying a strong connection to the X-Men and its themes. I think Laura is more deserving of that connection, than say Nate Grey. (though I like him, a code name like X-Man should not be given lightly) plus X is more subdued and ambiguous than that. I think 23 could work as in twenty three as well lol, like Thirteen from House. So even though X-23 has some bad history, there are ways to give it a more endearing touch, plus take ownership of the word and its power.

i thinkx23 is a kindda cool name , but Talon is also quite cool. I think she shopuld switch between um have like x23 for the darker missions and Talon for the more heroic missions.

Matthew Risman gave a hint about her codename. He compared her to Wolverine and said that while he is an animal, she is a killer. X-23 is the codename Facility gave her, but it kinda fits her serious and professional personality. Probably writers wanted to emphasise her killer nature in comparison to Wolverine's feral nature (Wolverine is nevertheless an wild animal). When she encounters a threat, she is more professional and precise than Wolverine. It's her "special power", so giving her a codename after an wild animal is not a good idea.

leaving her name as x-23 is like leaving wolverines name as weapon x why would she wanna be reminded constantly thats shes just an experiment anyway
