    Origin

    Wyre was an assassin for an organization The Secret Empire that wanted to recreate strands of DNA. He soon began to regret his actions and set out to destroy the monsters he helped create, one of whom was future Alpha Flight member Wild Child. Wyre managed to track down Wild Child but was captured by Alpha Flight. Reflecting on the direction in which his life had taken him, he soon became an ally to Alpha Flight but never actually joined the group. After Alpha Flight disbanded, Wyre wasn't seen again.

    Creation

    Wyre is a Marvel comics character created by Simon Furman, Pat Broderick and Bruce Patterson.

    Wyre first appears in Alpha Flight #114 released in 1992.

    Powers and Abilities

    Augmented strength, speed, agility, reflexes, and durability, hyper-regenerative, extend his inorganic hair follicles into manipulable tendril spines, razor edged talons. Wyre utilizes artificial, synthetic wires that can extend from his arm and shoulder areas for various purposes and functions. This wires are connected to his nervous system maximizing reflective responses as well as efficiency. Wyre is an especially skilled and trained fighter.
