Ben and Sally diggin' fer the truth!
I really enjoyed the Front Line series during the Civil War and the World War Hulk saga is no different. It's nice to see the action through the eyes of civilians and what it might be like for the common man. All the Front Line comics have emphasized intricate story lines that never seem to get old. I was a little worried about WWH: Front Line #1 as it seemed to have introduced too many story lines, but #2 seems to thin these out and help understand a little more of what's going on.
The thing I like most about the Front Line comics is how well placed everyone is according to the events that are taking place. Everything seems to fall nicely into the event time line and it shows that the writers took some time to think about character/plot placement.
I also really liked how they gave Danny Granville a bigger role than just being Sally's lover. It was nice to see the last quarter of the comic deal with the Costume Division and helping Korg find the murderer of Arch-E-5912.
Bottom line is that these Front Line comics offer something more than your typical superhero stories. They give a more "human" feel to the comics and portray what it's like to be in the midst of super warfare as a civilian. Don't hesitate to pick these up.
