@spikespiegell: I think her energy manipulation should be better that Supes' (using his heat vision) and Cyborg's (using his energy canons). Depending on the diversity of the number of ways in which she can use it, it should either be much better or slightly under green lantern's. For example if she can emit and use it in a limited number of ways then it should be much better (perhaps almost like an ultimate attack type thing). Basically, it should be powerful/ useful enough to be a valued part of her arsenal but not to the extent that she becomes an energy type character (a character that mostly relies on energy manipulation). I'm basing it on comparisons to other characters within the same universe because power levels vary depending on whether it's an animated, live action or else worlds story.

In the myths, Zeus's lightning bolt was powerful enough to shatter a universe. Lets just pretend Diana has 1/100th of that power, with all the versatility of a bender in a:tla.

I don't want her to be Thor. She doesn't have to deal exclusively with Greek Mythology. her being a demigod and their being a Sphere of the Gods should be an opening for so much more than rehashing Greek Mythology.

I love the design. I love the gladiator armor. I hope they keep on giving her weapons and divine armor. she inherited Hercules armory when finding Jason(who we will get to). so they should have her use it. her personal favorites should always be present. Lasso, Bracelets, Shield and Sword. I just love the arm guard here and if I had one problem with her traditional costume is that theirs no shoulder straps. Just add shoulder straps.

Verdict

we need to establish what a Wonder Woman comic is about. what drives and motivates her. familarity is key. she's already known as apart of the Trinity but what else. although her current run might be her best(it's without a doubt the best) we need more exploring the landscape. who are friends in the community? why does her rogue gallery hate her? what's her role in the community? she isn't a scientist or detective or anything. she's a punch em up character. that usually means relying on the history of their character(Krypton ghost or Asgard mythology). But DC has the Sphere of the Gods. While Shazam really should be the hero walking this path she fits just as well exploring the divine landscape.

@kasino: I think you are severely underestimating what Greek myth has to offer. She doesn't have to only focus on Greek I know, but that's her mythos. Also, what's wrong with the Thor comparisons?

I don't understand why she NEEDS a god mode to be on Superman's level, when she can just be on his level.
