@jphulk26: Man I am getting kind of tired of Wonder Woman being the "girlfriend" of either Batman or Superman. Just shows DC has no imagination or any intention of making Wonder Woman anymore than a kickass "girlfriend" or "notch" in Batman's extensive belt.
I love Batman, but DC's trend of having nearly every DC female have some romantic/flirty bond with Batman (despite said females having CANON boyfriends/husbands) really makes it hard for me to take anything they write for him seriously.
People are going to put up the Animated Series saying "HEY seee!? Wonder Woman being Batman's girlfriend works!" It worked because Wonder Woman had little to no backstory in the Justice League Animated Series, ergo no previous platonic/romantic relationships, so Bruce Timm could make it convincing that the only friends Wonder Woman had were in the Justice League. But if WB is going to produce a solo film with (hopefully) some of her canon supportive cast, shoehorning a Justice League Romance-Edition (AGAIN) would just be more than annoying and unimaginative for the only female role.
I would hope, and still hope that DC/WB can learn from the Black Widow Age of Ultron fiasco and NOT do that to the most iconic female superheroine, but DCs disappointed me enough lately that I don't have high hopes that the Wonder Woman movie or character will at all be impressive and may diminish her individuality even more.
In short, if they want Wonder Woman to be a legitimate part of the Trinity, they need to put EVERYTHING about her in over the course of the films. Past, relationships, friends, enemies, struggles, victories, the works. Otherwise she's the just the female side-kick romantic interest and I will not have her reduced to that.
I'm sorry for the rant-ish. Wonder Woman's been a constant favorite of mine, and I hate to see her diminished in any way on the big screen.
Hopefully they´ll flirt and Zack leaves it open. Why couldn´t they just hve Catwoman in Suicide Squad and Bats could have had a relation with her? They could have even had Steve Trevor in SS as well, then had WW have a quick cameo in SS as well.
