Wonder Woman
Character » Wonder Woman appears in 8805 issues.
The Amazon princess, blessed with god-like super abilities, Wonder Woman is one of Earth's most powerful defenders of peace, justice, and equality and a member of the Justice League. She is considered an archetype for many heroines outside of comic book. Her initial origin depicted her as a clay baby brought to life by patron goddess Aphrodite, but in recent years she has been depicted as the daughter of Zeus and Amazon queen Hippolyta.
Would a Wonder Woman animated series fly?
Would people watch it or would it be "invisible"?
I loved the Wonder Woman animated movie. Sadly it didnt do so hot. So I cant see a WW animated series going over real big.

Not enough people realize just how badass Diana actually is, despite all of her animated appearance show her kicking ass and taking names.

I would watch it. But what I think they should do to make it a good show is first present her rogue's gallery in a good way. Make her enemies look fearsome. Another is to make sure her character is done right and by that i mean don't make her dark and gritty because that would be terrible. Her character is one who has love for all and is pretty much the female version of Superman in terms of personality. Then her supporting cast should be presented well. Her origin should also be explained it in. I think that the show should be done in a way that people who don't really know anything about Wonder Woman or aren't into Wonder Woman will gain more interest in her and help them get a really good idea of who she is... and get more people to start reading Wonder Woman comics.
If it was Wonder Woman in her classic costume with her '87 origin I would definitely watch it. The problem with her though is the love interest thing. That might not fly with her so they'd have to find alternate subplots.
Its a blasphemy that Wonder Woman hasn't had one yet, even Bruce Timm says so
And Bruce Timm>Any other producer
" I loved the Wonder Woman animated movie. Sadly it didnt do so hot. So I cant see a WW animated series going over real big. "I would love to see an animated series and even another animated movie. I know they said the animated movie didn't do well enough but when I look at the sales on wikipedia, I think it did pretty well and was in the upper middle of the released animated movies.
I've come to realize, that the only way to get the Wonder Woman from the comics on to any television screen is by giving her an animated show. The live-action series looks terrible (Although I will be watching it and will probably love it just because I get to see Wonder Woman) I'm the animated verison they could add much more of her mytical villians and mix it in with some normal villians. With the new live action series we are getting her fighting a buisness woman.... I guess we'll see how this turns out.
@herrweis: Can you tell me that it was the 4th best selling animated movie a year and a half ago when I posted that?
Yes, but she would need a good supporting cast. It would be awesome if it were centred on Greek mythology.
Guys, guys.
Think for a minute.
If you tied in a good amount of the Greek mythology, the gods and amazing fighting scenes, it would be amazing popular.
How do I know this?
It would be like an updated Xena. Except if Xena had superpowers and a bikini.
I'd watch it, but I'd want Bruce Timm behind it. Diana is WELL over due for her own show. I'd actually like to see one done with her dealing mythological stuff, and not just Greek. I'd like to see her tackle Norse, Egyptian, and even Mayan mythologies. Also, it'd be a good way to utilize DC's other magical heroes like Shazam(I spend years telling people his name isn't Shazam and now it is), Zatanna, Dr. Fate, or even Swamp Thing
