"not in anything i saw. it better be a really good one though. to do her justice."
do you know of a great story that was just about wonder woman?
Apparition says:
"i cant stand the outsiders for some reason. but which one would you like to see them make next?"
an animated version of emerald twiilight, then they continue to make movies based there.
You?
Nighthunter says:
"well it was one of the turning points in the franchise, just like the death of superman, the judas contract and maybe the new frontier (I say maybe because I haven't read the book)"
true, but to do it properly, you'd have to have the Death of Superman done properly, and allow for a hell of a lot of back story about Hal...

great idea. i was just thinking they should redo the legion of superheroes cause that show sucks.
but then they could do crisis and then infinite crisis. instead of making them movies, make them a six or twelve hour series.
Methos says:
"Nighthunter says:"an animated version of emerald twiilight, then they continue to make movies based there."that would be so awesome...
it'd never happen, but it would be so awesome lol

that could be cool... it would be an amazing feat to do Crisis on Infinite Earths as a series...
to be honest, i'd rather they worked on doing some of the smaller one properly first before jumping in with a huge ones

nice, crisis on infinite earths was the perfect example for revamping character
it was a good take on the Death of Superman story...
but they couldn't use it for any other stories in that universe since Superman was the only superhero in that universe, so Wonder Woman, Batman or anyone else...
to do Death of Superman properly you'd have to have it straight from the comics as everything that happened in it had far reaching consequences for all characters involved

loved the funeral scene, very good, it would have been better with other heroes tough
Apparition says:
"hmmm i agree. i would like to see the little list youve got there."
yeah, but you need Superman's death and the destruction of Coast City done straight from the comics to push Hal into becoming Parallax, without Parallax you can't have the other stories...
M
Nighthunter says:

yeah, it was a good funeral scene...
if they merged that with the funeral scenes shown in Justice League Cartoon then it could have been amazing

Hey, I found more info on it with an extra surprise.
WONDER WOMAN AND BATMAN NEXT UP FOR ANIMATED DVD TREATMENT?
With Superman Doomsday due out on DVD in September, and Justice League: The New Frontier coming early next year (and video from it already making the rounds), the Teen Titans direct to DVD animated movie is the only movie of the original three announced to get a release date.
And then, what’s next?
Wonder Woman and Batman, apparently.
What look to be two pages from an internal DC/Warner Bros. Animation marketing document have made their way online, revealing that the next two direct to DVD animated films will star Wonder Woman and Batman. From the respective descriptions, the Wonder Woman animated film maps out closely to an animated re-telling of George Perez’s re-creation of the Amazon’s origin from the restart of the series in 1987; while the Batman film looks to be in “anime style” and set in the same universe as the recent Batman Begins.
The descriptions of the two projects read:
WONDER WOMAN
On the mystical island of Themyscria, a proud and fierce warrior race of Amazons have raised a daughter of untold beauty, grace and strength – Princess Diana. When and army fighter pilot, Steve Trevor crash-lands on the island, the rebellious and headstrong Diana defies Amazonian law by accompanying Trevor back to civilization. Meanwhile, Ares (the god of War) has escaped his imprisonment at the hands of the Amazonians and has decided to exact his revenge using the mystical “Hand of Rage,” an ancient artifact with the power to raise armies from the dead and infuse them with a thirst for blood. Ares intends to start a world war that will not only last for centuries – but will wipe out every lving being on the planet, starting with the Amazons! It is up to Princess Diana to save her people and the world – by using her gifts and becoming the ultimate Wonder Woman!
Target: Males 18+, women 18+, and girls 9-17.
Proposed rating: PG-13
DVD street date: Q4 2008/Q1 2009
BATMAN ANIME
Targeted Audience:
Dual: Core fans and tween boys
Rating: PG-13 (anticipated)
Release:
2-4 weeks in advance of The Dark Knight film release.
Overview:
Set in the period between BATMAN BEGINS and THE DARK KNIGHT, this brand new adventure follows BATMAN as he unravels a mystery over six original stories done in the style of Japanese Anime. Each of the six original stories has been written by a highly respected screenwriter or comic book creator. The talent includes Academy Award nominee Josh Olsen (The History of Violence), screenwriter of the Blade films and Batman Begins David Goyer, and famed comic book writer Brian Azzarello, among others.
The Batman Anime DVD is viewed as a perfect companion piece to BATMAN BEGINS and THE DARK KNIGHT. The original stories introduce a number of classic characters from the DC Comics BATMAN universe as well as following up on characters and storylines that were introduced in BATMAN BEGINS.
When asked about the two projects by Newsarama, Warner Bros. Animation declined to comment.

Of course I did. :P Didn't feel I need to comment, though. But thanks for posting it, if that's what you're looking for.
It would be nice to see a Wonder Woman continuing cartoon series instead of just the Superman - Batman - Justice League cycle DC seems to go through cartoon-wise.

Nope, some scientists discovers the remains of Krypton, he goes there to check it out and comes back 5 years later. But please everyone let's just keep to the topic.

I would like to see that too. Maybe a Green Arrow or Blue Beetle as well, but you know they always go with the most familiar characters because they bring in the most money. With Wonder Woman's comic never being a big draw I would assume they're afraid to take a risk on a series. They should just think back to the success the live action series had and give her at least a one year run.
Knightwing says:
"Am I the only one at least trying to keep this thread alive? "
Once it comes out, I'll be posting here every five seconds, don't you worry. Well, that is if the forum lets me post every five seconds.
Oh, yeah and be sure to check out Batman:Gotham Knight coming out in July, it has a sneak preview of the movie. I'm also assuming that when the Wonderwoman movie comes out, it's going to have a sneak peek at the Teen Titans movie coming out soon.
Look's Wonderwoman is getting some attention a little more than the Teen Titans movie.
*According to Marv Wolfman, one of the screenplay writers for the direct-to-video Teen Titans: The Judas Contract animated feature, the DC Universe Animated Movie could be in trouble.
Wolfman states the movie is currently on hold because, according to Warner Home Video, there may not be a big enough audience for the Teen Titans: The Judas Contract animated feature to be successful. Teen Titans: The Judas Contract was originally scheduled to be the third DC Universe Animated Movie before Warner Home Video delayed it, opting to produce Batman: Gotham Knight and Wonder Woman instead.*
