@alsimmons77: its not a secret there was more inspiration drawn for these characters from Frank Miller than from the main DC universe of any period. And in his Dark Knight Universe she could not fly.

Would I like her to be able to fly? Yeah but still it is not a dealbreaker or anything.

I think it's been a conscious choice for the overall image.

Superman is the one who has the magical ability to fly which coupled along with all the other themes helps to portray him as this kind of mortal god. Cyborg flies too, because he's 80% armored suit so why not, plus Iron Man is cool. Diana on the other hand does not fly, even if she is a god, because her part in all of this is not to look like Jesus floating above everyone's head but appear as the god thats meeting us at our eye height.

That said, it might be an ability she can unlock later on. Since Ares and her could, if not fly then atleast float (though he appears to be able to control the winds)... which matches what Diana could originally do, which was to glide on air currents.

Because she cannot fly, nor she will be able to. The simply went with non flying version.

I think the issue is this is going to make her significantly weaker than even Green lantern. once more justice league characters fill out the league she gonna be quite weak in comparison.

If Wonder Woman can't fly, her ability to be a hero is significantly reduced. She would have absolutely no chance against Darksied who can fly. Basically any villain that can fly would have a significant advantage over her. Dumb people may say well they don't want her to be a female Superman. These stupid people don't realize Superman is far superior to Wonder Woman in many ways like invulnerable to piercing weapons because her skin is flesh, heat/x-ray vision, freeze breath, superior strength & speed ....last time I checked Superman don't wear bracelets & a tiara. He doesn't have telepathy like she does & can't control lightening. While she's a superior fighter, her sight & hearing is not as good as his. No flight mean that Green Lantern, Cyborg, & even The Flash could challenge her superiority on the Justice League team...

Wonder Woman has a boat the pinnacle of Amazon Technology.

Not just a boat...an ancient sail boat! So innovative, I know.

The irony of it all...considering the Amazons did futuristic tech/magic/seclusion first. Leave it to DC and the DCEU to portray the Amazons as being less advanced in 2018 than when they were introduced over 75 years ago.
