I'd like the scans......you see that bed scene when you want to suggest that Batman is gay (Once, and last I check they've avoided doing it again), but you never see the scenes that suggest Wonder Woman is at least bisexual....
Wonder Woman
Character » Wonder Woman appears in 8808 issues.
The Amazon princess, blessed with god-like super abilities, Wonder Woman is one of Earth's most powerful defenders of peace, justice, and equality and a member of the Justice League. She is considered an archetype for many heroines outside of comic book. Her initial origin depicted her as a clay baby brought to life by patron goddess Aphrodite, but in recent years she has been depicted as the daughter of Zeus and Amazon queen Hippolyta.
What scenes from history have hinted her possible Bisexuality
Well first off... wouldnt it be awesome if she turned out being a lesbo? And you know Black Canary also turned out to be a lesbian, and they like hooked up or something..
Anyway....
I think her gay rumours exist is because that she originally disliked men, and you know she lived on an island only populated by smoking hot women, so there you go.
If i didnt like women and decided to live on an island only populated by flaming hot dudes, a few rumous would proberly start to surface about me aswell.
I tried looking for scans, but only found a lesbian porn parody of Wonder Woman and some very bi-curious female bank robbers, sorry.
@SandMan_: I am aware of it, I just view things logically. He was raised by farmers, in kansas. That place worships people like Newt Gingrich who are greatly against homosexuality.
Do I think Superman would go out and murder homosexuals, no. But I have to point that out due to realistic points.
though you did give me an idea to put a forum up with Superman about if he's ever expressed any views on it
@fodigg: You could point out that people come out how they are raised. Catholics raise Catholics, Muslims raise Muslims, white supremecists raise white supremecists, polygamists raise polygamists ect ect. Its not always true, but there is logic to suggest that a girl raised by lesbians would be more likely to be a lesbian, or at least bisexual, due to it being normal for her....or it might be the opposite end of the black sheep in the family homosexual.
Though I suspect the parents might be less willing to kick the child out.
@krspaceT has opened up avery interesting can of worms. Let's be delicate, we're dealing with a culture struggling for acceptance. Yeah, I know I didn't actually discuss the question, sorry guys.

my respond to it----> http://youtu.be/P3ALwKeSEYs :D i really do love lesbian women, they are AWESOMELY EPICLY AMAZINGLY GREATLY Gorgeous women, that god bless us with :)
3 writers in DC state wonder woman is bi . Rucka,Gail, Prez
I don't think it matters because wonder woman is a fighter for love , so she loves the person no matter the gender.
Here are two pictures
Don't fall for it. UsagiTsukino has been pushing Wonder Woman's alleged bisexuality for months now. It's simply not true. Rucka, Simone and Perez never said that.
I stand corrected. Gail Simone was wrong in that like she was with so many other things about Wonder Woman. It's been 70 years, and for most of those she was in love with Steve Trevor. She's been paired with several other men though and no women. Io was clearly in love with her, but it went unrequited. Forcing her to be bisexual would be a terrible cliché designed to appease closed minded people that think that because she comes from an island of women she MUST be gay, and the thought of that is asinine to me. The new 52 Wonder Woman is enough like Xena already.

I think this is the most intelligible comment thus far. If anyone wants to see her as a lesbian I suggest that they try fan fic but it it hasn't happened otherwise

agreed.
how are ypu forcing her to be bi your just writing as bi?I feel like she can love who she wants To me that amazons and wonder woman love the person no matter the gender. As long as the story it's center around that I don't care.Ph
@krspaceT: here is a scan showing that Wonder Woman is not bi
see the internal monologue at the top.... " There are many stories about me... I was born of clay.... i am a sister of sappho... I belong only to America... These are all myths"
she has said herself in an internal monologue the her being a sister of sappho is just a myth..
Yeah but sappho is a reference to lesbian and also this is just the new52 not the previous run but serious thought. Her bi being bi would only change who she would date not her. I mean I accept the fact that she orientation shouldn't matter. Also DC writer don't work together , so what one person does doesn't reflection look at justice league. Look are the amazons lesbian because their lesbians? NO they love people regardless of gender. hippolyta had love for tom and phiipllus.
I like to think of Wonder Woman as simply a purely loving character. She is willing and able to show the same kind of affection to males or females and labels just don't really fit her. I don't know if calling her bisexual, straight or gay really makes sense for the character... she is beyond that and just can love unconditionally. That's just how I feel anyways. She beyond bi, lesbian, striaght . Yes, she more into men but she a character that purly loving and that mean she could date a woman and love her as well
Does it really matter? Plenty of writers, and fans, see her as bisexual and occasionally some writers put in a little bit of subtext (her relationship with Io is rife with bisexual/lesbian undertones, as is her one with Artemis) but it'll never happen in the comics. It's just a little bit of fan service that's occasionally thrown out there. So does it really matter? Let those who enjoy the subtext enjoy it, and those of you who don't can ignore it.
And would it really bother you that much if she was bi?
@Skylynx: Her being bisexual makes sense when compared to a lot of the big characters of comics: Superman grew up in Kansas, which is very conservative, Batman has so many partners of the female variety....though admitably it would be far easier to use history to chance his orientation than Supes, Cap grew up prior to WW2, where Homosexuality really only had any sort of legality in Germany....before Hitler killed them all, Spiderman has many girlfriends and last I checked he lacks guys friends, nor any reason to dislike girls (the only female baddie of his is Black Cat, and baddie is a stretch).
She had hints and subtext before Seduction of the Innocent, AKA the comic murder book.
Though now that I think about it.....Hulk has some potential. Isn't he a multi layered raging repressed monster?
@Skylynx: it doesn't matter but this is a forum where such discussions can be done.. besides we are not saying we will stop reading her comics if she is bi or vice versa... we r just speculating and to answer ur question...
does it really matter? No..
would it bother me if she is bi? No..
can we speculate and discuss about it? Yes

See what I mean?
Her original catchphrase suffering sappho was a reference to her bisexuality in that saphho is a famous poet who was constently making reference to love for both women and men. In fact her early comics made several references to queer love and women being with other women. Before the comic code authority forced it to be more family friendly by cutting down on the lesbian coding. Since then her sexuality was only hinted at
(Uploading from phon so I'm just linking it rather than showing the pictures. These images are prior to her being officially revealed to be bisexual)
