CW has announced Batwoman is under development for 2019. She will be the first lesbian Superhero to get her own TV show. She is also going to appear in upcoming DC movie Birds of Prey with Margot Robbie

Hmm. I'm on the fence about this one. To be honest, I don't want a wonder Woman TV show. I don't think it will do justice to her unless its done on the scale of Game of Thrones. I'd rather have an animated TV series on Wonder Woman.

Yeah. I really have no idea whats stopping them seriously. Thats the frustrating part. I'd understand if the argument was Wonder Woman stuff doesn't sell well. But its clearly not. The Wonder Woman animated movie is probably their 4th highest grossing animated movie. The movie last year also did extremely well. So I really don't know why we aren't getting more Wonder Woman stuff.

A God of War like game for Wonder Woman could be so amazing. I thought that is what rocksteady studios was currently working on. But the rumors are suggesting that its a superman game.

Superhero Girls sorta counts. It's an ensemble cast, but she's front and center

You should know that Pennyworth was pitched at Epix, it doesn't had anything to do with WB. She might get a cartoon at DC Universe just like many characters that i want to see like Zatanna.

Why doesn't dc allow the trinity to be in any show ?

Those movies are from the 80s and one sequel later. What Superman movies are after MoS, there are only team ups with him afterwards. And it took decades for many other heroes to get their movies. WW success guaranteed her a real sequel unlike some others. The state of Diana isn't that bad when compare to some major DC and Marvel comics.

Like i said, she may get a cartoon at DC Universe with many more characters to come, which I'm hoping. She seems like a priority for her sequel was announced very fast. She will get her 2nd movie before flash or gl get theirs.

It would fail due to poor ratings anyway.

That's is the mentality that WB has. Marvel had no choice but to use its secondary characters to save itself from bankruptcy, if it had Spidey or the X Men rights, there would had not been an Iron Man movie much less the rest until many years later. The chance is there to expand but at this moment there is no strong leadership to guide DC.

She is a cultural icon and incredibly popular. Her comic book sales are average like before her movies because of Mediocre stories .Her only hope of getting good stories is an Animated show or a live action

The Dark knight trilogy was successful and you can't say the same about Supes

Supergirl currently has 3 seasons and has been renewed for 4th

I'd take quality over quantity anytime look at a tv show like Legion on FX it's a high budget tv show and you can clearly see it,

It only have 10 episodes per season.

If you want a Wonder woman tv show the standard should be placed higher because she's an a list and iconic character

I can only see HBO doing it but the tricky part is that movie have higher revenue than tv shows

She is not even getting a crappy low budget Cable TV show. What you mentioned above is too Good to be True for Her .

Her animated movie is one of top selling DC movies yet it never got a sequel .

Adrianne Palicki was terrible. There are OK like Flash and Super girl .Supergirl even flies with TV budget

But they still look like TV shows and thats still 'just ok', not spectacular. And AoS has an advantage of only being set in a superhero world, while their team and most of their adversaries have very low-key powers.

Ofc she should, and fighting Cheetah could certainly be that since we dont know yet what kind of Cheetah we are getting or how she will even look. Fair enough they could use 'Cheetah' as a codename for a russian agent. But since we dont know who the secondary villain will be yet, it could very well be Circe... like they didn't tell us Ares was ever in the first movie, we learned that from a toy-release. So right now I bet we only have the 'Dr. Poison' of this second movie, the secondary villain.

But what is it you want from a TV show? According to Diana, the Amazons cannot leave Paradise Island meaning a show about them has to take place there, which might sound like GoT if it wasn't because everyone is happy and no one is trying to assassinate Hippolyta. Also many of the shows we have now are kind of second-banana to the movies, even over at Marvel the TV shows can do their thing by if something big happens in the movies, they just have to politely incorporate it while nothing goes the other way. Over at DC they do it differently and have started making shows about the world around the main characer, but then leaves out the main attraction.
A cartoon series with Diana and all that, yes, I agree that needs to happen. As does more animated movies. But they shouldn't come at expense of a live action movie.

Well, I am kinda wondering if initially the movie starts out as more of a kind of sneaky spy thing. Like Diana by the 80'ties has likely all but disappeared as 'Wonder Woman', so she isn't going to wear the suit for most of the time, and instead she is perhaps trying to track down the 'Cheetah' who could be a Soviet spy or smuggler of some sort.

It could then climax with Cheetah getting powers at the very end (either because Circe zaps her, or because she breaks the magical doohickey she and Diana have been chasing for most of the movie) and turns into a wild monster.
