This art has been made by Cliff Chiang and it seems is for the new Wonder Woman # 1. I hope not.
Wonder Woman
Character » Wonder Woman appears in 8808 issues.
The Amazon princess, blessed with god-like super abilities, Wonder Woman is one of Earth's most powerful defenders of peace, justice, and equality and a member of the Justice League. She is considered an archetype for many heroines outside of comic book. Her initial origin depicted her as a clay baby brought to life by patron goddess Aphrodite, but in recent years she has been depicted as the daughter of Zeus and Amazon queen Hippolyta.
Is this the cover for Wonder Woman #1 reboot?
@yeopop: Sadly it is, but hold out hope because I don't think he is doing the art for the entire comic, I think this is just for the cover.
I don't really like that picture. It's not the artwork, but the image itself. I can't think of the right words to explain why but I don't think an image like that would be good for the very first issue in a new volume. Just look at the covers for the second and third volumes for Wonder Woman. They look nice and seemed fitting for a first issue but I don't think that this does.
I highly doubt that any of the covers we've seen will be the ONLY covers for the issues, they are just the only one's DC releasing at the moment.
I think he is going the whole comic.
On the solicitation, it says Art and Cover by Clifff Chiang

It's like the cover of a Cartoon Network comic.
actually I kind of like it, the image is flat and reminiscent of the ancient greek style of painting

notice how the arrows are black in the cover and how there isn't much depth to anyting...kinda cool, the art inside the comic itself could be completely different
I heard that most of the images we have seen for the relaunch issues are not final cover art. Real solicits should be out soon.
This is the cover for sure and i hate it.
She looks much better in the new JL #1
Holy Popped Collars Batman!
agreed, i like it too, i think that's what the artist had in mind, i think its creative and differentactually I kind of like it, the image is flat and reminiscent of the ancient greek style of painting

Didn't really care for it until you pointed that out.
The image is cool, but perhaps not exactly THE most enticing picture for new readers.
Still, the new suit looks really good, it would've fitted MUCH better in the TV series.

So, how many of you would pay $2.99 for a comic having this cover?Depends entirely on what the interior art looks like for me.
On the contrary, I'll probably be picking up first issues for nearly half the 52 books x___X Or at least a quarter of them.
I have to admit you impressed me.@yeopop said:

This is going to sound tacky and probably offensive to some, but I don't know why DC doesn't choose to tap on Wonder Woman's attractiveness when it's a good time, sure, they give her balloon breasts whenever nobody's buying her damn title, but when they're revamping the series they give her a cover that would only work if EVERYONE was reading her title, which isn't happening right now.
Seriously, Lee, Didio, Johns, get your shit together.
I wish they did a better cover showing her with her classic outfit instead of this. This cover seems to be made by a child.@yeopop said:

I would venture a guess that they're releasing another cover, too much dwelling on this topic has made me think that image is probably a placeholder, unlikely, but possible.I wish they did a better cover showing her with her classic outfit instead of this. This cover seems to be made by a child.
In any case, it's not exactly a cover made by a child X-D ! Like it was said before, it was probably inspired by early greek art.
Wonder Woman's look was fine how it was. They aren't modernizing it.Wonder Woman has had better alternate costumes than this.Such a disappointment.I bet the writing won't change either.Wonder Woman has the potential to be as great as Superman and Batman but DC can't get it right with her.I'm going to get issue #1 because i'm a fan but if it's not good by issue 5 i'm dropping it.I'm not excited for the new DCU at all.Everything I've seen so far looks stupid.

Give it a chance, A LOT of those titles are not about superheroes, and they look incredibly promising, I never even thought that either of the big two could put out a medieval-supernatural title, and here we have "Demon Knights", I also never thought they would go back to war comics, and what do we have ? "Sgt. Rock And The Men Of War, and even "Blackhawks", there's a lot of promising stuff in there.
@Feliciano2040: A lot of stuff that I never read.
Precisely, and a lot of stuff that never saw the light of day after the 40's, it's quite incredible what DC is trying to pull here.
