always for an unspecified reason, not now, not to mention the lip-service she gets thanks to DC

She’s only universal. Multiversal would be nice just so she can keep up with Hulk (sarcasm)

@nitelite: You think people on WW board are going to say WW is too op?

@theinsufferable:

Genius

@alsimmons77:

I'm totally ok if she can lift mountains and destroying skyscrapers with one punch but some thing like planet lifting and such with just saying Gods' power is so silly

When has current WW done that? Are we back to Marston era and i didn't notice? That'd be cool to see her that powerful again. But i haven't seen it yet.

as you can see above I mentioned she's always OP, current version or not and that was for general however with witchhour it's safe to assume she's above something like that one way or another

So the most characters above mid tier, Diana, Clark, Thor, Hulk, Spawn and even worse Goku, Seyas, Jin Mori, Sailor Moon, Odin, Thanos, Dark Schneider, the Endless, Living Tribunal and douzens more are all just silly?

@alsimmons77: We know why Clark is OP not just he's an alien but we know his body is a solar battery and receive energy from yellow sun.

We Know Thor is OP not just he's son of Odin but also it was his destiny to fight evil (Ragnarok).

Hulk is OP because Banner worked on some kind of super soldier serum which increase physical abilities combined with gamma it affects Banner the way he's already now, plus we know some of his strength comes from his anger.

Never read spawn

I don't know those anime stuff

Odin same as Thor

Thanos is an alien with some genetic experiment and natural enhancements from some kind of OP race.

Living tribunal is just an angel of GOD, you expect him to be weak???

We know she's from a strong race but just every Greek god appear and give her their powers just because they wanted to, is something silly.

@michaelbn: Technically she is currently the daughter of Zeus and thus a demigodess. As a result she should be powerful. If anything she should be more so than she currently is. If the solar battery thing is enough to justify Clark's then this is more than enough.

In Rebirth her origin is a confusing mixture of the original and the new but if you read it, you'll see that it was to help her with her mission in "man's world". In order to fight Ares and other threats she needs to be powerful.

She's either a demigodess/ a being designed by gods and thus should be more powerful than she is. She was also destined to fight Ares and other god level threats.

She also needs to be powerful character-wise. She's DC's premiere Warrior. She needs to live up to the title of greatest fighter and thus needs to be the most capable combatant on the JL. It's the purpose she serves. On a team with The Flash and Clark, she needs to be capable of fighting at their level and possibly higher.

Well, current Wonder Woman just died last issue, if you mean with the Hecate enhancements.

@michaelbn: As @kevinffinity said. She is supposed to be a powerhouse capable of fighting God level threats. If being a solar battery is good enoug for SM. Then beeing rooted in a world of mythological Gods and magic is more than good enough to explain her power. Maybe you'd prefer her original concept. In Golden Age her powers came from physical and mental training, and there was no limit to how much power she and the other amazons could get. In recent times her powers do come from Gods, but she can increase them the more she trains and fights. It's time that she lives up to the expectations again. She must be very powerful to fulfil the role she is supposed to fulfil.

@agent41: certainly I prefer that original concept, this one seems dull like "yo, she was always a powerhouse so let's make her daughter of yada yada and let her do that tada tada without any explaining blah blah"

They literally explain it. She was rewarded super powers by her gods as a result of winning their contest. This type of thing happens in all manner of myth and fantasy stories. It's no more nonsensical than any other reason for super powered characters being so powerful.

What feats did you mention to as her being too OP? Is she became more powerful than her Post Crisis counterpart?
