to do it properly you need an actress that is 6 feet tall in bare feet, slightly defined abs, ripped arms and shoulders with large muscles, curves in the hips, thighs, and buttocks while still looking firm and muscle bound, d cups, a dynamite face, long wavey black hair, blue eyes. the outfit will need pants, made of a subdued material (like black widow's suit from the avengers) with only the metal bits shining.
basically someone needs to find a 30 year old lucy lawless
Lucy Lawless was only five foot ten, from what I recall. And she never was that fit.
But oddly enough when I think about it I feel that Diana looking the part is important to me. I guess it sounds shallow, and maybe it is! But I want Wonder Woman to look strong, and beautiful the way she does in the comics sometimes.
Sure, acting chops are important. But no one is okay with a short, out of shape Clark Kent, or Batman. We expect them to have nearly impossible bodies that only a tiny fraction of the men on the planet have, and we expect them to be able to act on top of that. Then we expect their costumes to look the part, and look good in a movie.
So realistic or not, fair or not, I expect the same things out of whoever would play Diana. She has to be tall, she has to have an amazing figure, and she better look like she could kick my ass with one hand. And her costume better be awesome.
