There's a good chance the big-explosion isn't actually Wonder-Woman tapping her wrists together. Remember that trailer where Scarlet Witch 'hex-bolts Iron-Man' - which ended up being two entirely different scenes in the film?

@isaac_clarke: Yeah I think it's just the way they cut the trailer, if you watch it frame by frame it looks like she's blocking a fireball or something. It's pretty cruel to build up expectations only to knock them down.

Could be right.. tbh though it's good editing. Goes by too fast for anyone to possibly think that those two events are irrelevant to each other. Also, my guess is that she's trying to block something.. I assume bullets or a blast which is why a split second before the blast, it looks like her bracelets are gleaming.

Well, at least we'll know she'll be fighting someone with super-human strength (so Superman / perhaps Metallo / DoomsdayVerZod?).

Everytime I watch the trailer I like it more ... I'm about to go all fanboy here in a minute!!

@saint_sophie: No they're definitely related, after Wonder Woman ?clanks her bracelets together? you can see the ground blow apart and then they switch to the bird's eye shot of the explosion so those scenes are probably contiguous. But I can't work out whether she produced a shockwave or she's blocking whatever caused the explosion. I'm leaning more toward the latter because the bit where she's jumping and grinding her teeth looks like it doesn't belong in that sequence

@isaac_clarke: Hopefully not Superman though it doesn't seem unlikely. I thought Doomsday had been confirmed but apparently not. Maybe a frankenstein'ed Zod becoming Doomsday from a kryptonite-induced mutation hence his name, as in the day Lex almost doomed the human race
