Things are getting worse
Diana is still leading the Amazons to safety but she is set upon by the Keres, harpy like creatures which exist in two planes. She is the only one that can see them and despite battling well she is taken to Hades with them. There she meets Charon and she is informed that the plane of hades is in chaos. Wonder Woman is told how to flee and despite facing the Keres again and Cerberus, she is successful. She returns to consciousness surrounded by the Amazons, but they themselves are in a difficult situation as the mercenaries have caught up to them. They make a deal, the Amazons safety in exchange for Diana giving herself up. The whole issue was pretty fun and full of some great action (when Diana finally figures out she needs ancient weapons to attack the Keres was a highlight.) It doesn't do much in terms of advancing the plot except for the last few panels. But these give the fans something they want to see and sets this next issue up perfectly.
