These landmark issues which try to look forward while also looking back often lack enough focus to be considered a really good comic.  Of DC's Trinity only Batman had a 600th issue which advanced a major plotline (I belive it was the beginning of Legacy.)  In Action comics 600 Superman and Wonder Woman kiss and discuss whether they should be a couple.  In fact there are a couple or parallels between this and AC 600.  A teamup between Diana and Clark, and the beginning of a new direction for the character.  I personally would have been happier with this one if it just focused on the new costume and new direction a lot more.  The shorter stories were all right, but they sort of gave the feeling of an Archie Comic, where you arent really sure when they are done.  I was actually disappointed to see Nessie in here.  She is one of my least favourite characters in the whole Wonder Woman supporting cast.  Just a bit too much on cliches.  I guess with the disappearance of the Amazons that it wouldnt make sense to have Cassandra or Donna show up, but still the lead in stories could really have been anything.  One thing which I thought was great was a fishnet clad oracle who hangs out beneath a bridge.  Interesting twist on the old.  Also some of the artwork was just amazing (particularly the Greg Horn drawing.)   I have to be honest and say I love the new costume as well.
