There is an interesting story in this issue, though its relation to the overall series is vague. Harmonia travels to another plane to meet the Fates and discusses with them the story of Pandora and how this relates to Diana. Harmonia has been having dreams since acquiring the amulet during the Challenge of the Gods story arc and they all relate to this story. I thought the writing on this issue was quite good. The words of the Fates were impressive as the writers made them speak in a way which was quite enigmatic, but in a classical way. The story was also quite interesting showing Pandora first as a gift to mankind, then as a scourge and then again as a symbol of hope. There are parallels between Pandora and Diana, first that Pandora is the opposite of her and then finally that they are the same, but that Diana was born of pure mind, but that Pandora had to experience the worst of mankind in order to achieve it. The only drawback to the issue is that it doesn’t really fit in the grand scheme of things for the series, but rather works as only an aside. In a sense its too bad because the writing is this series has been lacking clear direction for a while now and this issue has good writing. As it stands it is a good issue but without context to place it in, is only that.
