Wonder Woman doesn't need high tech armor to become CAPTAIN

The cover was very ugly. I understand why it was the cover. It was the cover because that was the armor that she had for the battle but, I just did not like the cover.

Story

Wonder Woman is in a arena to fight her cousin. If she wins Earth will not be destroyed. Her cousin grew up to be a warrior. When she was little she was put in a room with other girls and the goal was to have one person left Theana won. At first Theana was strong and was hitting Wonder Woman left and right. Wonder Woman’s helper said to use her weapons she was given and she will not be able to kill Theana with only her hands. Steve is piloting a invincible jet from Wayne Tech and he missed being a fighter pilot and this made him feel like home. Back to the battle Wonder Woman figures that everyone has a weakness and Theana’s weakness is Emotion. So, Wonder Woman starts to talk to her. Theana’s mother figures her daughter will lose so she shoots Theana and lets her die. Wonder Woman goes through a portal to go back to earth. She wins the fight and becomes Captain.

Best Part

One of the best parts was when Steve described that he wants to be a pilot again and when he is piloting an invincible plane from Wayne Tech. I also liked the ending because it shows how many people really love her and that she has many places to call home.

Worst Part

In the story there was no worst part.

Art

The art was good but, not great. It was more like nothing special. There were a lot of parts that were sketchy.

This is a nice wrap-up to the Gail Simone run on Wonder Woman.  Instead of trying to leave some legacy on the character as others have done, she chooses simply to tell a good story.  It mostly involves Diana at battle against the champion of the invaders, a bizarre offshoot of Amazons.  Gail has portrayed the character well here - Diana resorts to fighting when necessary but spends most of the time trying to reason with her opponent.  In the end she is successful and does a good job of showing t...

Cover: I did not like the cover.  I do like the art of Nicola Scott, but the battle armor was ugly and kept thinking of Rambo when I looked at it.  Art: As said above, I like Nicola Scott's art and apparently Travis Moore's as well.  The action scenes were very well done and only one part of the art besides the cover took me out of the story.  And that was the appearance of Lieutenant Zusen.  While she looked excellent, it just reminded me too much of Avatar.  Plot/Story: The Citizenry attack Wa...
