Best Wonder woman so far 2

Being a devoted Wonder woman fan, I've read EVERY SINGLE ARC she's appeared in. No kidding, and this, I must say, aside from Rucka's run, is the most interesting take on the Amazon princess so far.The Good: We've seen Diana as a rebel (JMS run), a diplomat (Rucka's run) and a Love-struck issue ridden princess (Simone's run), all of which are equally good reads. But please, Azarello has Wonder woman with a gritty side, as in grittier than usual. She listens to rock music and goes to concerts for ...

Wrath of a woman scorned 0

I have to say that initially I thought it was a gamble that I placed my money on the WW title because of the jumble its been through the last couple of years, but out of the Big Three of DC, Diana has always been the most interesting, but now with #4 read, I can say I am glad I took the chance for if anyone had their title reinvigorated by the New 52, it's been Wonder Woman. The Story:Azzarello is still lumbering the story around in his/its own pace, in the old days this would have been the concl...

    Gain Some, Lose Some 0

Brain Azzarello and Cliff Chiang have been shaking up the Wonder Woman world. She is no longer clay, she is the daughter of the king of the gods. Now that she has a whole bunch of new family, is she ready to lose her old family?  THE GOOD: The art is really good. I really like Cliff Chiang's art, and I know that some people don't like it but it's simple but has a special feeling to it and it just captures the mood of the series so far. The story is where this series is perfect. We have been gett...

Wrath of a Godess Scorned 1

The Good: Ok, THIS is an AMAZING cover. I wish Cliff Chiang had been in town later so I could've gotten THIS signed. Hera looks absolutely TERRIFYING on this cover, and the chaotic rioting of the shadows behind her is enhanced amazingly by the whirlwind of grit. There's a minimalist approach to the artwork here, and it works BEAUTIFULLY. We have the chaotic top half of the cover, and the haunting calmness of Wonder Woman reflected in the blood pool. Again, AMAZING cover. We're getting the sense ...

    I'll trade you 0

The writing in this series is thus far of a pretty high caliber.  This issue sort of has the feel of a transitional issue between story arcs, but then again the first story arc was not really one per se, and the revelation of Diana's parentage was not really the climactic moment it was assumed to be.  Instead the treatment of the issue seems like it will be getting a longer exposure as Diana attempts her to deal with the betrayal she feels, while Hera is addressing her own betrayal with Hippolyt...

    New 52 Wonder Woman #4 0

The GoodGreat story that pulls you along from scene to scene with spectacular writing by Brian Azzarello. The fist 3 issues of the new 52 Wonder Woman were terrific but now this team is going full steam ahead. The gritty violence between Diana and Strife when Strife tries to lay hands on Zola's unborn baby in the night club is very "sin city." The Heroics and Honor of Queen Hippolyta surrendering herself to the judgement of the vengeful goddess Hera and the Amazons ready to defend their queen to...
