    Sword in hand

After the last issue which took an opportunity to basically reload its plot, the story arc is back in full swing here.  The continuing two plots are ongoing, both with Zeus recreating a champion for the gods, plus there is a small part with Amazons returning to Themyscira.  The main focus here is Diana's continued search for her lasso, and more pressingly for Genocide as he has Etta, and is torturing her.  The interplay between Diana and the Secret Society of Super Villains is amazing.  It is not often we get to see an angry Diana.  When she killed Maxwell Lord it was done out of necessity to save lives, but it was not a decision made out of anger.  Here her anger flows the pages, but it is a directed and contained anger.  This side of her was written extremely well and shows that the writer really understands the character.  She craves peace but sometimes this is necessary with a sword in hand.
