razzatazz's Wonder Woman #284 - Shadow of the Dragon; Together Again - For The First Time! review

This is a fairly entertaining issue at times, though in the end the plot (and even the art) sort of fails the reader.  The three protagonists have previously stumbled upon the cache of weapons and "awoken" the dragon.  I don't think it takes much away from the plot to say that the dragon is actually a robot (yet another robot to fight.)  Anyway the fight between the two is actually pretty well paced.  Afterwards though the three heroes decide it is time to head to China to track the Red Dragon there.  This goes into a weird monologue which Diana thinks to herself about China and how there are so many people there and how everything seems so uniform.  It seemed like a very "Cold-War" like statement, despite her Amazon acceptance of others winning out in the end.  There are a few more developments, including one which the writers felt the need to warn the reader about instead of just letting it develop (and really it could have quite easily been done, meaning that the explanation was almost just filler.)  The art at times was weird too, either with messed up colours

Either the car is quite large, Diana is quite small or the building is humungous

Overall the issue felt like it had the potential to be good but ended up being just average.  The backup story has Huntress and Robin working together (for the first time!)
