    The Chinese Connection

This is the middle story of a multi issue arc featuring Steve Trevor and Wonder Woman attempting to stop members of a Chinese spy ring from operating on American soil.   The issue starts with an interesting obstacle course room where Diana is nearly killed numerous times before apprehending one of the enemy spies.   Later when Steve Trevor arrives Diana reveals she went ahead to ensure he would be safe.   He takes this poorly as he doesn’t want to be seen to be rescued by a woman in front of his colleagues (why does Wonder Woman love this guy again?)   Later when she is back in her Diana Prince identity he pays little respects to her accomplishments as an intelligence captain.   In the end Wonder Woman once again saves Trevor’s life but not before a Chinese dragon is unleashed.   The backup story dealt with the Joker wanting to finally kill Earth 2’s Batman.   Huntress tries to intervene but the Joker will not stop until her father appears, which is impossible as he is dead.  Eventually the Joker sees what he wants, someone in the Batman costume but is unable to go through with the murder.   I thought in this issue that both stories were pretty interesting.   The Wonder Woman part focused more on action and less on the plot, but the plot was still interesting.   The Huntress story was the opposite.   Overall not a bad issue.
