    Alone Against Superman

It´s no mystery that I dislike Diana a lot, the whole concept of "Wonder Woman" makes my nose twist or my face to frown and the same feeling I have with Superman too, I guess this iconic DC characters from the 40s haven´t got the same appeal as others to me, but I´m not bashing this two characters in vain, no, saying these bad things about them is only the first step to point out how great and fantastic this single issue is. Tie in to the Omac and a vital issue for future events of Infinite Crisis this comic book draw my atention because of the outcome in the battle between Wonder Woman, Superman and Maxwell Lord. Max Lord is the kind of character that´s natural for writers shaping him into a bad guy or at least the anti hero type, because he hasn´t been the role model of morals and rightneous even when he put together the Justice League International and Europe. But why this issue is great? Because of the raw, power unleashed in a battle between Diana and Kal. I´ve never thought Diana could stand against Super, but Rucka proved that this is possible. She used everything in her favor, even when everything seemed lost and the fight sealed, Diana turned the game upside down and the story telling of the pencilers - Rags Morales, David Lopez, Tom Derenick and Georges Jeanty- is awesome. The coolest thing is that Diana at first tried to reason with Kal, talking to him to get free of Lord´s influence, but once she realized he wasn´t there to connect she started to play rough on him: punched his ears, kicked his knee, slit his throat, but all that only after Kal had punched her from the sun to the Earth, froze her, burnt her with his optic laser, broke her wrist. I know this could be controversial to some, but I don´t think Lord asked Diana to kill him, I think it was more like a gamble, do you want to stop me? You´ll have to kill me. This was a very great issue, I really liked it. Highly Recommended!

      A Masterpiece 0

This is one of the most memorable single issues in the history of the DCU.  Diana stands alone against a mind controlled rampaging Superman and she does all she can do to stop him.  She is almost incinerated in the sun, thrown back to Earth, has her wrist broken before finally stopping him at the source of his rampage, Max Lord.  He has been putting images in Superman's head making him want to kill Diana.  What comes next is one of the greatest moments for me as a fan and if you don't know what ...
