Together at Last
This story is told as a recollection by Black Canary of events which already transpired. Wonder Woman is presently not a member of the Justice League but if she passes 12 tests she will be readmitted. So Justice Leaguers are going undercover and tracking her actions so they can determine when she is fit to rejoin the team. This story tells the tale of a billionaire trying to become the first man to set foot on . He makes various attempts to get to the island including an all-out assault with a military like force. In the end he is unsuccessful. Queen Hippolyta reveals what would happen if a man stepped foot on the island. In the end Dinah decides not to include what would happen if a man were there in her report as she feels even the men of the Justice League cannot be trusted. This was a pretty fun issue, more so because Dinah was highlighted more than Diana. We forget in the modern comics that Dinah is not actually a blonde, she dyes her hair. In the silver age she wore a wig instead so here she goes undercover just by taking her wig off:
The issue is presented in an interesting format, and this actually adds to the overall plot. I liked this one, its not in the best Wonder Woman stories of all time, but still worth the minimal time it takes to read it.
