Battle of champions
This issue is surprising in a sense as it is one based almost solely on action after one of the best action centric issues in Wonder Woman publication history, which was three issues previous. Diana has been called to Olympus to act as champion to Athena in her stryggle to usurp her father as head of the gods. This basically involves a battle with Zeus' champion who has numerous advantages over Diana. The outcome of the battle is kind of foreshadowed by the cover (you could pretend you did't see it though) but overall the action is decent. If anything this issue suffers from too close proximity to landmark issue three previous, but taken on its own merits is quite a strong issue, especially as with the schemes of the gods acting as the driving force behind all the actions.
