    Wonder Woman learns untold facts about her origin: that a second statue of a child, created from black clay, was created by Queen Hippolyta at the same time as Diana, and was also given life by Aphrodite.

    Wonder Woman learns untold facts about her origin: that a second statue of a child, created from black clay, was created by Queen Hippolyta at the same time as she was, and was also given life by Aphrodite, becoming Nubia, who was stolen from her cradle by Mars. Now Nubia has become the adult pupil of Mars, and is set against Wonder Woman just as Mars attacks Paradise Island.

    Two fairly common plot devices are used together here - a battle for the title of Wonder Woman and interference by Mars/Ares.  After watching some protests at the United Nations (which serve as nothing really more as to remind her of Nubia), Diana is called back to Paradise Island to defend it against attack.  It turns out Nubia and Mars are responsible.  Diana figures out that Nubia is being hypnotized and she turns this against Mars by freeing her, which leads to his defeat.  It is also reveal...
