    Mr. Gargoyle, a villain whose face has been disfigured in an explosion, forcing him to wear a gargoyle-like mask, tries to force Wonder Woman to love him by capturing both her and Steve Trevor and placing Trevor in a death trap. Gargoyle says that he will release Trevor if she will fall in love with him.

    Wonder Woman must compete with an evil version of herself from a parallel dimension for the love of Steve Trevor.

     There are some plot elements from the golden age up to this era which I really don’t care much for (contests among Amazons, fighting over Wonder Woman’s beauty, Steve Trevor, amnesia) and others which I think are sort of fun and whimsical (shark fights).   This issue has them all.   The first half deals with Mr. Gargoyle who has kidnapped Diana and Steve so that he can convince Wonder Woman into loving him instead.   What unfolds is a full three pages of shark fights.     Thats like 10 shark fi...
