razzatazz's Wonder Woman #112 - Game Over review

    Let it go!

Throughout the entire John Byrne to this point he is basically making Diana into a female Superman.  So far she has fought Superman villains Darkseid and Morgaine Le Fay and finally she gets to fight Doomsday (well the same Doomsday from the previous issue)  The action is ok, but it gets derailed by the Superman cameo.  He doesn't even end up in the fight, it is partially just to pay homage to Action Comics 600 where he kissed Wonder Woman, and the Death of Superman story arc.  At this point its seems like Byrne would rather be writing Superman than Wonder Woman.  The first three issue of this arc were decent, but the reliance on Superman is wearing thin by this point.  Still this had decent enough action and the concept was good (as was the resolution) but by this point the little bit of momentum Byrne had is gone.
