Cassie was always a poor man's Nessie, except lamer, more annoying, and not as cute. DC should kill off this blonde b...witch and give Nessie her place as Wonder Girl.
Wonder Girl
Character » Wonder Girl appears in 1335 issues.
Cassandra Sandsmark was originally the daughter of Olympian God Zeus and Dr. Helena Sandsmark. She became the second Wonder Girl in an attempt to save Wonder Woman's life. Cassie continues adventuring as a member of the Teen Titans. Her New 52 incarnation is the daughter of Wonder Woman's half-brother Lennox, and derives her powers from an ancient armor named the 'Silent Armor' related to the demon Trigon.
Cassie should die and be replaced
@outside_85: She was ALWAYS this sucky. At least, initially. She acted that way when Byrne introduced her, and didn't get decent until Young Justice and Johns' Teen Titans, and stopped being decent after Johns' left.
@lilben42: Who is taking over
I used to really like this character in YJ and Johns' TT, but Lobdell has ruined her. I think TT can be salvaged with a good writer.
this
@jointron33: Greg Pak.
bump i gotta agree i prefer the pre 52 one she had a better connection to wonder woman has well b4 the reboot. Oh well maybe this new cassie will grow on me like the old one did. I don't see the sense in killing her off unless donna troy will make an appearance soon
My daughter also got into comics because of Cassie from Young Justice and her Teen Titan love affair with Conner.
Well you got your wish... Future's End Teen Titan one shot, plus the Future's End weekly series has Cassandra Sandsmark violently and very graphically 'removed' from the New 52.
Not sure if I will show my daughter those issues just yet. She's definitely of age to read that material, but we are talking about her all-time favorite character.... graphically removed.
@jointron33: Who is Nessie?
You don't take a character's position away because you don't like how she's being written, you just write her better. I'm not touching the "not cute" comment because these are drawings.
@degraaf: she was a supporting character for Wonder Woman from 1987 until the 2000s. Vanessa 'Nessie' Kapatelis had the chance to meet Wonder Woman when she first came to the U.S.A, Nessie's mother, Julia invited her into their home. At first, Nessie was jealous of Diana's beauty, but eventually the two got to know one another and formed a close bond, with Nessie loving Wonder Woman as an older sister.
