As long as there is at least one being in the universe with the ability to travel through time (and there are many), Wolverine can be brought back. Someone can go back in time and grab him before he loses his healing factor and bring him into the present, skipping him over the entire death storyline. He may have a lack of memory covering that time period because he never experienced it, but it's better than being dead.

Oh, and maybe someone like the Molecule Man or Magneto can separate the molten adamantium from his body. Or even Odin or Thor using the Odinforce could do it or one of the other insanely powerful and ancient beings that exist in the Marvel Universe might have a use for Wolverine and save him. Galactus probably has the technology to do it or maybe even Doctor Strange's magic can do it. There's a multitude of ways Wolverine can be freed to live again.

@captain_gumball: I remember a woman that can walk through walls that is a member of the X-Men.

Her name is Fresh Scoop Kitty Pryde. The out-and-proud intangible cat-litter girl that can phase through almost every object.

I hardly think that Wolverine is "stuck" in the adamantium while she's still walking about. And she's hardly the only Marvel Universe character that can walk through stuff.

Available Heroes: Kitty Pryde, The Vision, Jack Power & Katie Power (of the Power Pack team) have density control & matter conversion powers. The Silver Surfer has this power, but he's usually busy.

Less common heroes or neutral characters: Specter (powers lost on M-Day, but they could always return), Lilli Stephens (Earth-616) "Ghost Girl", Nate Grey AKA "X-Man" (somewhat depowered since the last I checked). Silhouette Chord (Earth-616). Simon Hall "Neophyte" (Earth-616). Carl Rives (Earth-616). War Machine -- The Iron Man 2.0 armor has the ability to phase through solid objects. For that matter, since there is a technological means (Mister Fantastic, Doctor Doom, Tony Stark technology, etc... ) to walk through objects, many of the Mutant or Magic heroes really aren't required to free Wolverine from the Adamantium. Manuel Vicente (Earth-616) "Junta".

Available Villains with Intangibility Powers: The Red Ghost, Ghost, Moonstone (aka Dark Avengers "Marvel Girl" and in the New Thunderbolts as "Meteorite"). The Beetle (new Latverian agent), Christine Cord (Earth-616) (depowered on M-Day).

Awesomeperson already mentioned Jean, but Xavier is kinda dead as well. True, his brain was still around last time I checked and true, Wolverine is generally considered to be a more poplular character, but that doesn't prove a thing. People would eventually get over it and another character might become just as popular as Wolverine.

We can be almost sure that Marvel will do a better job than DC. Then again, DC killed off all of it's characters and replaced (most of) them with parodies, while Marvel seems to be taking the slower approach, which gives people the time to get used to the new outfits and backstories (replacing supergirl with menstruating diapersuit girl, Harley Quinn with Emo chick girl, Superman with Medieval Superknight (true, the needless lines aren't added by all artists and if they're not the suit resembles a suit again, instead of an armor), etc.)

Long story made short, whatever Marvel does, it can't be as bad as what DC has done with DCnU.... Actually... I suddenly remember House of M... Let's just HOPE Marvel won't do what DC has done...

Too bad Sir Bubsalot didn't use his head when he broke the death barrel. He could have hit it with an outside hand and stood beyond or under the barrel. May not even have had to lose his hand doing it.

    This was poorly executed. *cough*

Well, considering everything Marvel did a decent job with their character's deaths and rebirths. Much Much better than how DC does it.

Victor (Sabretooth) has himself been killed off a few times but he's now resurrected. I guess fans have issues with their fav character going out of order.
