And now some of his closest friends, including Storm, Rogue and Kitty Pryde, look to stage the most improbable of rescue missions. Powerhouses JASON AARON and DANIEL ACUÑA tear it up as Wolverine’s battle against his literal demons rages on!

Wolverine's soul has returned to his body, but Hellverine is still in possession most of Wolverine's mind and body. Hellverine, now revealed as a legion of demons, forces Wolverine to escape to the last strong hold of his mind, a castle where all of his personalities are hiding. There the many personalities of Wolverine fight back, but they seem to be losing.

Meanwhile in the physical world Wolverine's body, in complete control by Hellverine, is fighting Cyclops, Magneto, Namor and Emma Frost. Magneto tries to rip the Adamantium out of Wolverine's body, but he is not prepare for the demonic powers Hellverine uses on him. Namor then tries brute strength but Hellverine is too strong. Cyclops is about to blast Wolverine but he is stopped by Emma, Rogue, Jubilee, Kitty, Storm, and Melita. The women have a plan, they knock Wolverine to a deserted island and use Emma's powers to go into Wolverine's mind and help him fight.

It looks like this might not be enough and that is when it is revealed that Nightcrawler's sprit is in Wolverine's head as well and he found a door marked with the Phoenix symbol.
