    After the shocking events of last episode, Jean Grey is in the clutches of the Inner Circle; a shadowy organization with plans for the Phoenix Force. Dark plans that involve using it end the war between mutants and humans, permanently. Meanwhile, Mystique has kidnapped Senator Kelly and is impersonating him under the orders of Magneto. With this upper hand, Magneto plans to unleash an army of Sentinels upon his own city… finally having the incentive he needs to bring the fight to the humans.
