Accompanied by Elektra, Logan treks to the remains of his cabin in the Canadian Rockies, making his annual pilgrimage to the grave of his lover, Silver Fox.
Afterwards, the pair fly to Greece, to visit Elektra's childhood home. Relaxing on the villa's veranda, Stavros, head of the household staff, tells Logan he reminds him of a Canadian soldier he met during World War II. Stavros relates the tale: learning of his mother's death at the hands of the Nazis, he sought revenge, and was persuaded by the soldier that stealth, and a silent dagger, would increase their chance of success. Although they had wiped out the Nazis in the compound, the colonel who ordered the murder was not present. Stavros says he kept the soldier's dagger.
Stavros then tells Elektra he knows the whereabouts of the last of the assassins that killed her father. If she says the word, he will have the killer, Sawyer, eliminated. Elektra forbids it, so that evening, Stavros and his men release Sawyer from the wine cellar where he's been held. Intending to alert the authorities about his wrongful imprisonment, Sawyer runs into Logan, who forcefully warns him against doing so. Stavros later regards the dagger he's kept for so long; its sheath is inscribed with the name "CPL. LOGAN".
