Flights of Angels last edited by Darkside_of_the_Sun on 05/26/18 10:18PM View full history

Dani continues learning about the Witchblade including a new power. Then there's her run-in with the Angelus. Does Dani have what it takes to survive?

A tie-in to the epic First Born summer event! Rookie Witchblade bearer Dani Baptiste is unprepared as servants of the Angelus are closing in on her. But there's no reason not to trust the good guys, right?

This issue will provide fans with a fuller reading experience and lead directly into next month's First Born #3!

Long time scribe Ron Marz (Ion, Samurai: Heaven & Earth) is joined in the second of three very special First Born tie-in issues by the unstoppable art team of Luke Ross (Samurai: Heaven & Earth), Kevin Nowlan (Batman: Black & White, Superman v. Aliens) and cover artist Mike Mayhew (Vampirella, The Pulse).

I liked this issue. I was a tiny bit let down with last issue. It wasn't a bad story but it seemed to focus more on Magdalena than either Dani or Sara. Here we get to see a little more of Dani in her private life. It's interesting how the Witchblade lets the current wielder experience memories of the previous ones. It's a good way to learn some things. Also getting to see Dani have coffee with her friends helps to make her a little more human. She is young after all and needs some normality...
