Plus
Great art on the cover. I didn't want to pick this issue up at first but the artwork and title logo was just too good on this issue. The art inside the issue was excellent as well. The layout was clean and the environment was neatly drawn. The story was simple and sellable and the creators found a way to make it interesting. The dialogue for the entire issue was great, especially the interactions between the two protagonists as it showed how deep a connection they really have. The creators' understanding of Barnes and Romanoff was well displayed as they showcased the heroes' primary skill which separates them from others, stealth and espionage.
Minus
With how well the creators focused on Bucky and Black Widow's relationship, it seems that the story will revolve around them, which betrays the title for this series. Black Widow is admirable, but it would've been better for the issue to showcase Bucky kicking ass and not sharing air time with another hero.
Final Score
This opening issue turned out to be a great purchase and you'd be a fool not to pick it up. The storyline is currently a blurred image which will be clearer as the next issues come up. 4/5 stars.
