Originally based in Stone Mountain, Georgia, White Wolf publishes role-playing games, collectible card games, and fiction novels. Their most famous role-playing games include Exalted, a fantasy game with obvious anime influence; Street Fighter, based upon the popular Capcom video game franchise of the same name, and the World of Darkness games (originally consisting of Vampire: The Masquerade, Werewolf: The Apocalypse, and Mage: The Ascension, with other offerings shortly after). Aside from fiction published in the goth-punk World of Darkness setting, White Wolf has published fiction featuring Michael Moorcook's Elric and Nancy A. Collins' Sonja Blue novels. Several comic artists have provided interior and cover art for the company's role-playing offerings, including Guy Davis, Tony Harris, Glenn Fabry, and Tim Bradstreet. Because of the adult themes in the World of Darkness games as well as controversy derived from "vampire cult" murders in Florida, the company has been beset by critics and parent watchdog groups. Regardless, the company continues to publish today.
