Wes Locher got his start in comics in 2012 with the short story, London Shadow, drawn by Allen Byrns and published in the MegaBook anthology from CE publishing. From there, he contributed short stories to five volumes of The Gathering from GrayHaven Comics and in 2013 released the crime-fiction miniseries, Chambers, with Arcana Studio. The book featured art by Kristian Rossi and colors by Kefas Armando.
In 2014 Wes released the heist graphic novel The Undoubtables with artist and co-creator, Emre Ozdamarlar. The book, featuring interior colors by Kefas Armando and cover colors by Kell Smith, was published by Markosia Enterprises.
Wes debuted his next miniseries, the sci-fi/comedy Unit 44 through publisher Alterna Comics. The book, drawn and co-created by artist Eduardo Jimenez, was released monthly as a digital-first initiative to the ComiXology platform in March - June 2015.
June 2015 also saw the release of Wes' short comic Adrift, co-created with artist Alex Diotto. The 4-page comedy short was published in the Lost in Space anthology by Titan Comics in partnership with Britain's Lakes International Comic Art Festival. The anthology, available for free exclusively on the ComiXology platform, was the culmination of 2014's Titan Comics Undiscovered Talent Competition.
In 2016, Wes released three one-shot comic books through indie publisher Primary Target Press, including the dystopian comedy Hipsters Vs. Rednecks with artist Tyler Kelting, the sci-fi/time travel thriller The Temporal with artist Kristian Rossi and the M.C. Escher-inspired sci-fi tale Maintenance with artist Stan Chou.
